Andreas

From a young age Andreas had a habit of drawing on the walls of his childhood home.

Even then, it was apparent he possessed an endless source of creativity. His parents were active in the world of architecture witch meant Andreas grew up surrounded by architectural drawings and construction. This woke a special awareness within him witch improved with every daring and model he made. Furthermore, he showed an interest in prehistorical animals, horses and geology. His childhood room became his sanctuary in which he was free to research and discover the world and its history.

Andreas studied at the ‚Sint Lucas instituut’  in Ghent (Belgium), a college for art and science, where he was given the opportunity to study composition on paper and 3D. In 2008, he interrupted his studies at the institute and started working more independently.

His oeuvre resides in an architectural futuristic bond that flirts between symbolism and cryptology, investigating the number pi and the golden ratio. In 2014 he twice received the highest mention at the current drawing prize for Ronse and Stimulans Kortrijk.

In 2017 he contibuted to  Muziekbos 1 with curator, Mark Manders and publishes a book. Perspective and ambiguity make his work intriguing.

Today he strives for a higher goal of giving art a blueprint as well as “documenting” it as a science.
